The Park Ridge Wellness Program

Park Ridge Health Complex
Park Ridge Health Complex
Park Ridge Wellness is a division of Park Ridge Health.

Today, more than 81% of America’s businesses with 50 or more employees have some form of health promotion program, the most popular being exercise, stop-smoking classes, back care programs, and stress management. Most employers offer wellness programs simply because they think the benefit is worth the cost. Yet business leaders continue to ask themselves how to control huge annual increases in health insurance premiums and health care costs.  For many companies, medical costs can consume half of corporate profits and sometimes more. Some employers look to cost sharing, cost shifting, managed care plans, risk rating, and cash-based rebates or incentives. But these methods merely shift costs. Only worksite health promotion stands out as the long-term answer for keeping employees well in the first place.

Facts about the Park Ridge Wellness Program

The Park Ridge Wellness Program addresses unseen opportunities that will up the success rate for both the employer and employee.  In addition, it is geared to avoid the costs associated with false starts; starting programs that the employees will either not use or use so sparingly that it will affect the return on investment.  This program will also eliminate the costs associated with guessing what the logistics should be for every facet of the program.  What programs should be offered at specific locations in your company, when should they be offered, and to whom should they be offered?

Park Ridge Wellness consists of three assessments.  A program that incorporates all three assessments is known as a results-oriented program.  This type program will produce the most significant and longest lasting results, which in turn will offer your company the best return on your investment.

The first is a Health Risk Assessment (HRA) which includes a short health questionnaire followed by a series of biometric measurements, i.e. height, waist, and weight measurments as well as a highly robust Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) assessment of fasting lipids and glucose, which is significantly more powerful in detecting cardiovascular and diabetic disease risk, than a standard lipid panel.  This assessment is provided locally.  For businesses in the North Carolina area this assessment may be provided by Park Ridge Wellness, 50 Doctor’s Drive, Hendersonville, NC.  For businesses outside North Carolina these services may be provided by a facility that incorporates our wellness focused combined CCA and NIA powerful analytical package.

This analytical package differentiates the Park Ridge Wellness Program from other programs in that it takes advantage of the NeuraMetrics powerful survey and analysis engine.  By combining the CCA and NIA assessments we allow correlation of the combined data and give you a much more statistically significant analysis of the company needs associated with the proposed wellness program.

A Corporate Culture Assessment (CCA) of your company. This is an assessment which evaluates the general culture of wellness in your company, i.e. the personal beliefs, attitudes and perceptions of your organization on the subject of wellness.

A Needs and Interest Assessment (NIA). This assessment determines what your employees really want in a wellness program and therefore what they are willing to commit to.

Using a simple web based interface, powered by the NeuraMetrics assessment engine, employees confidentially provide information about their demographics, needs and wishes. NeuraTool™ then compares this information to the company’s intentions and assigns a numeric score. This unique tool then allows the user to employ 12 easy to use analysis techniques to form strategic impressions of the company’s “current reality” in the area of wellness and recommends the program design criteria.
